Stand Up Blue Valley Endorses Governor Laura Kelly for Re-election

TOPEKA – Today, Stand Up Blue Valley,  a non-partisan organization of parents and community volunteers endorsed Governor Laura kelly for re-election. Stand Up Blue Valley is a parent and student advocacy organization that works to ensure that Blue Valley schools are able to provide a high quality education for local students. Throughout her first term, Governor Kelly has been at the forefront of ensuring that Kansas children receive the high-quality education they deserve.

 

“Parents have had an ally in their children’s education with Governor Laura Kelly,” Erica Massman, with the Stand Up Blue Valley Steering Committee said. “She fought for our children’s futures every step of the way. Under her leadership, public schools have been fully funded four years in a row and teachers are getting the support they need to provide our children with a high-quality education. Governor Kelly has stood by us and we are proud to stand by her as she continues to invest in our schools.”

Education advocacy groups representing thousands of Kansas parents and teachers threw their support behind Governor Kelly for re-election last week including: Game On For Kansas Schools, Education First Shawnee Mission, Kansas National Education Association (KNEA), Kansas American Federation of Teachers (AFT), and United Teachers of Wichita (UTW), in addition to over 125 current and former Kansas educators.
